California high school teacher to be fired for calling student 'Jew Boy'

A teacher in California will be fired after she was accused of calling a student "Jew Boy."

Gabrielle Leko, a high school math teacher from La Canada, north of Los Angeles, also ridiculed a special education student's speech impediment, KTLA-TV reported.

La Canada school board voted unanimously to terminate her employment, effective Feb. 27.

An initial complaint against Leko was filed last June by then-school board member Cindy Wilcox.
