An Atlanta radio personality is using her wedding to give back to a cause that’s near and dear to her heart.

The Bert Show’s Kristin Klingshirn and her fiancé, Bart Mattingly, recently announced they would be donating their wedding registry items to Bert’s Big Adventure (BBA), a nonprofit organization that provides a magical, all-expenses-paid, five-day trip to Walt Disney World for children with chronic and terminal illnesses, as well as their families.

“We went to Target and had a field day, registering for toys for kids for the upcoming Bert’s Big Adventure trip,” Klingshirn told FOX 5's Paul Milliken last weekend.

A few of months ago, Klingshirn and Mattingly, who’ve been together for ten years, were discussing their registry, wondering if they really needed any items.

“We were good, so I was like, ‘How about we dedicate the registry to BBA?’” Klingshirn said. “Of course my fiancé, without hesitation, was like ‘absolutely.’”

The couple said they still wanted to have the wedding registry experience, so they went to Target and scanned a bunch of items with several BBA kids.

“The Bert Show family has responded tremendously, exceeded every expectation,” said Klingshirn. “We are blown away by their generosity.”
