New York State Police on Tuesday canceled an Amber Alert issued hours earlier after a missing 12-year-old girl was found safe.
Troopers said McKenzie Wilson was last seen in the rural town of Lyndon at 5 a.m. Tuesday. They said she apparently was with an 18-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy possibly armed with handguns and driving a stolen red pickup truck.
Police said late Tuesday afternoon the girl "has been safely recovered," without elaborating.
