A judge has set bond at $1 million for four suspects charged in a murder-for-hire plot that left a Cleveland firefighter dead.

The wife of fire Lt. William Walker and three men who prosecutors say played roles in Walker's slaying pleaded not guilty to aggravated murder and conspiracy charges Thursday in court.

Walker was fatally shot in the driveway of his Cleveland home in November 2013.

Prosecutors say 44-year-old Uloma Walker-Curry worked with the men to have her 45-year-old husband killed to hide financial fraud using his name and to collect on a life insurance policy.

Newly assigned attorneys for Walker-Curry didn't return telephone messages.

One of the men is serving a 15-year sentence for an unrelated aggravated robbery.
