Phil Mickelson will be the first to admit that he's a bit streaky.

Sure, it's been more than a year since his last victory.

Then he goes and makes 10 birdies while shooting 62 on the final day at Firestone.

Just like that, Lefty is being mentioned as one of the favorites at the PGA Championship.

Mickelson says he's never quite sure when he'll play well, but that brilliant round last Sunday at the Bridgestone Invitational has surely boosted his confidence heading into Valhalla Golf Club.

He's getting downright antsy about claiming another win, having gone almost 13 months since that victory in the 2013 British Open gave him his fifth major title.

This is Mickelson's longest drought since 2003.
