STEVENS POINT, Wis. – STEVENS POINT, Wis. (AP) — A 37-year-old Wisconsin man who admitted killing his estranged girlfriend and their two young sons has been sentenced to life in prison.
Shane Kettner on Wednesday received two life prison sentences for killing 3-year-old Ashley Kettner and 2-year-old Griffin Kettner and a 30-year term for killing their 30-year-old mother, Christine Gollon.
Investigators found Kettner in Gollon's barricaded, gasoline-soaked Nelsonville home in April 2009. They say he was holding his infant daughter and had written a suicide note. The girl was unharmed.
Kettner pleaded guilty in March to two counts of first-degree homicide in the children's deaths and one count of first-degree reckless homicide in Gollon's death.
