AC Milan failed to record its first win of 1 home draw with Udinese on Wednesday.

Three games into the season, the defending champions have managed just two points, while Udinese continues to impress, taking seven points from a possible nine.

Udinese went in front with a first-half goal from Antonio Di Natale in the 29th minute.

But Milan found an equalizer to salvage a point, as Stephan El Shaarawy leveled in the 64th minute off an assist from Antonio Cassano.

The draw brings Udinese into a tie for first place in Serie A, deadlocked with Juventus and Genoa. Milan remains in the bottom half of the table.

Juventus 1, Bologna 1

Turin, Italy - Juventus moved into a tie for first place in Serie A after it earned a 1-1 draw with Bologna on Wednesday.

Mirko Vucinic and Daniele Portanova traded goals on opposite sides of halftime to split the points in Turin.

Vucinic got Juventus off the mark in the 29th minute, but he was sent off just before the half as Juvenuts was forced down to ten men. Bologna capitalized on the man advantage, as Portanova equalized with a header to earn a share of the points.

Juventus moves into the top spot in the Serie A table, tied with Udinese and Genoa with seven points apiece. Bologna earns its first point of the season after losing its first two matches.

Chievo 1, Napoli 0

Verona, Italy - Napoli was denied the chance to go top of the Serie A table on Wednesday, instead suffering a 1-0 loss at the hands of Chievo.

With other results going Napoli's way, three points over Chievo would have seen the club move into sole possession of first place.

But Davide Moscardelli made sure that did not happen, scoring the lone goal of the game in the 72nd minute to secure all three points for Chievo.

Genoa 3, Catania 0

Genoa, Italy - Genoa earned a comfortable 3-0 over Catania to move into a three-way tie for pole position in Serie A.

A first-half brace from Rodrigo Sebastian Palacio and a second-half header from Kevin Constant secured three points for Genoa.

The club now shares first place in Serie A with Juvenuts and Udinese, all tied with seven points apiece.

Fiorentina 3, Parma 0

Florence, Italy - Fiorentina bounced back from its first loss of the season, topping Parma 3-0 in Serie A action on Wednesday.

After suffering a 2-0 defeat to Udinese, Fiorentina responded with a comfortable victory to give the club a total six points early in the season.

A brace from Stevan Jovetic led the way, while Alessio Cerci added another for Fiorentina. All three goals came in the second half of play.

Lazio 2, Cesena 1

Cesena, Italy - Lazio recorded its first win of the Serie A campaign, topping Cesena 2-1 on Wednesday.

Adrian Mutu gave Cesena the lead in the 15th minute, but Lazio responded with two second-half goals coming from Hernanes in the 48th minute and Miroslav Klose in the 54th minute.

Lazio now has four points from its three games this season, while Cesena has lost all three of it contests.

Palermo 3, Cagliari 2

Palermo, Italy - Cagliari nearly completed a dramatic comeback, but fell just short as it lost 3-2 to Palermo in Serie A action on Wednesday.

Palermo jumped out to a 3-0 lead with goals from Eran Zahavi, Nicolas Bertolo, and Fabrizio Miccoli.

But Daniele Conti and Radja Nainggolan pulled two goals back for Cagliari in the final six minutes to make it difficult for Palermo down the stretch.

Atalanta 2, Lecce 1

Lecce, Italy - Atalanta moves out of the red, defeating Lecce 2-1 on Wednesday for its first positive points of the season.

Atalanta began the season behind the eight-ball after being docked six points for a match-fixing scandal. After a win and a draw in its opening two matches, the win over Lecce brings Atalanta to one point on the season.

Denis converted a penalty in the third minute to give Atalanta the lead, but Djamel Mesbah leveled the score for Lecce in the 26th minute. But Denis scored his second of the match in the 56th minute to help Atalanta take all three points.
