Carbondale, IL (SportsNetwork.com) - Shaquille Morris had 17 points and seven rebounds off the bench as No. 13 Wichita State cruised to an 84-62 win over Southern Illinois.

Ron Baker and Fred VanVleet netted 13 points apiece for the Shockers (24-3, 14-1 MVC), who have won five straight since their lone conference loss at Northern Iowa on Jan. 31.

Deion Lavender led the Salukis (10-18, 3-12) with 15 points.

Wichita State raced out to a 14-2 lead and were never seriously challenged from there. Baker netted five quick points, including a three-point play to cap the surge.

The Salukis hung around for a bit, with a pair of Sean O'Brien layups midway through the opening half cutting the deficit to 21-17.

The Shockers, though, answered with a 13-4 swing. VanVleet and Baker knocked down consecutive 3-pointers to finish off the burst and extend their margin to 34-21.

Wichita State led 41-28 at the break and by as many as 27 over the final 20 minutes.

VanVleet committed three turnovers after giving the ball away just twice over his last three games ... Wichita State shot 58.3 percent (28-of-48) from the floor and knocked down 10-of-19 from beyond the arc.
