Chicago, IL (SportsNetwork.com) - The Chicago White Sox added a potential arm to their bullpen on Friday, agreeing to terms on a minor league contract with right-hander Matt Albers.

Albers, 32, missed most of the 2014 season with a shoulder injury. He pitched only 10 innings over eight appearances with the Houston Astros.

Over nine major league seasons, Albers has compiled a 25-31 record with a 4.42 ERA in 364 games, including 23 starts, for the Astros, Baltimore Orioles, Boston Red Sox, Arizona Diamondbacks and Cleveland Indians.
