BOSTON (AP) Seth Allen scored 14 points and Justin Bibbs scored 12 with 10 rebounds to lead Virginia Tech to a 71-56 victory over Boston College on Tuesday night and send the Eagles to their 15th consecutive loss.

The Hokies (15-13, 7-8 Atlantic Coast Conference) had lost five straight road games.

Eli Carter scored 19 points for BC (7-21, 0-15) and Dennis Clifford had 13 points with 12 rebounds. The Eagles trailed 19-18 in the first before giving up 13 consecutive points.

BC had beaten Virginia Tech four straight times. With three games left in the regular season, the Eagles are guaranteed their worst conference record since joining the ACC in 2005.

Only a few hundred people were there for a 9 p.m. start on a cold night with a sprinkling of snow falling in Chestnut Hill. Among them was Boston Celtics forward Jae Crowder, who played for Virginia Tech coach Buzz Williams at Marquette.
