Kwame Vaughn hit a jump shot at the buzzer, giving Cal State Fullerton a 71-69 victory over UC Riverside on Saturday night.

The Titans (9-6, 3-1 Big West) led 69-65 after a pair of Vaughn free throws with 1:47 remaining, but Josh Fox scored on a dunk with 1:28 left and Chris Patton hit a layup with 16 seconds to go to tie it up for Riverside (4-12, 1-3).

Sammy Yeager scored 19 points and D.J. Seeley had 18 points, six assists and five steals for Fullerton, which has won three straight. Vaughn added 12 points and Deuce Johnson had 11.

Fox led Riverside with 19 points and nine rebounds. Patton had 16 points and Chris Harriel added 13.

Riverside shot 62 percent from the field and outrebounded the Titans 34-21, but the Highlanders made only 8 of 15 free throws and committed 23 turnovers.
