Washington, D.C. – D.C. United loaned goalie Andrew Dykstra to the Charleston Battery of the USL Pro leagues Tuesday for the second time this season.
Dykstra joined the Battery on loan earlier in April and played two matches with the club, including a shutout. His second stop will last through May 20, giving Dykstra the chance to play three matches.
He also spent the 2011 season with Charleston, starting 16 matches. He led the USL Pro with a 0.98 goals-against average.
The 26-year-old Dykstra has MLS experience with the Chicago Fire. He played 17 times for the Fire from 2009-10, and joined United in February. He has yet to play for D.C.
