Rookie Ty Dillon captured the pole for tonight’s Jeff Foxworthy’s Grit Chips 200 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

SPEED’s race coverage begins at 7:30 p.m. ET with The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Setup followed by the race at 8 p.m.

Dillon qualified at 177.357 mph in his black No. 3 Richard Childress Racing Chevrolet, earning his second career Truck Series pole in 17 starts. Starting next to him on Row 1 will be teammate Tim George Jr., who ran 177.028 mph in the No. 2 RCR Chevy.

James Buescher had a great lap of 176.611 mph in his No. 31 Turner Motorsports Chevy to qualify third ahead of Kyle Busch in his own No. 18 Kyle Busch Motorsports Toyota Tundra.

Row 3 will be Nelson Piquet Jr. in a second Turner entry and Johnny Sauter.

With 13 of 22 races in the books for the 2012 Truck Series season, Peters leads Buescher by 17 points and Dillon by 25. Justin Lofton and Parker Kligerman are both 31 points back.
