TOWSON, Md. (AP) Victor Darius ran for 202 yards and three touchdowns and Towson held off Holy Cross 29-26 on Saturday.

Towson (2-1) took over in the second half. Victor capped an 8-play, 80-yard drive with a 2-yard touchdown run, and then broke off a 34-yard scoring gallop on the next drive. In the fourth, a 12-play, 84-yard drive culminated in Victor's third touchdown run, a 4-yard carry.

Holy Cross (1-1) made it a one-score game with 4:16 left on Brendan Flaherty's 12-yard touchdown catch. The Crusaders got one last drive, but stalled at midfield.

Holy Cross opened the scoring with a 12-play, 55-yard drive resulting in a 1-yard touchdown run by Diquan Walker. Towson replied with Connor Frazier's 15-yard touchdown pass to Andre Dessenberg after an interception by Alfo Augustine at the Holy Cross 17.

The Crusaders got another 1-yard run by Walker and blocked a punt - leading to a safety - to build a 16-7 lead at the break.
