There are plenty of reasons we love coming to Sonoma Raceway: The countryside is beautiful, the food and wine are great and there's so much to see and do in Northern California.

But the dirty little secret is that racing here is intense and the boys -- and girl -- definitely have at it on the twisty road course.

One of the more interesting acts of retaliation at Sonoma came in 2011, when the track was known as Infineon Raceway.

Tony Stewart was tired of getting blocked by Brian Vickers, so he dumped him.

Vickers retaliated with an epic punt that put Stewart's car up on tire barrier.

It really was something to see, and there's likely to be a whole lot more during Sunday's Toyota/Save Mart 350.
