LUBBOCK, Texas – Texas Tech and Kansas are coming off close losses and will try again for their first Big 12 win when they play Saturday.
The Jayhawks lost 27-20 to then-No. 16 Oklahoma State last week after a 99-yard kickoff return late in the fourth quarter. The Red Raiders lost 37-34 to West Virginia on a 55-yard field goal as time expired.
Texas Tech coach Kliff Kingsbury doesn't think his team will have a difficult time rebounding from its loss.
Kansas interim coach Clint Bowen is looking for his first win since taking over late last month.
The Red Raiders (2-4, 0-3) face losing a ninth straight conference game going back to last season.
