Aston Villa lost 2-1 to Swansea at Villa Park in the Premier League on Saturday to increase the pressure on manager Tim Sherwood.
Villa had taken the lead in the 62nd minute when striker Jordan Ayew scored his first goal for the club with a diving header. That came just a minute after his brother, Andre Ayew of Swansea, was denied by United States goalkeeper Brad Guzan at the other end.
But Gylfi Sigurdsson equalized for Swansea six minutes later, whipping a free kick beyond Guzan from 30 yards, after he was fouled by Villa captain Micah Richards.
And Swansea got the winner when Andre Ayew prodded in Kyle Naughton's cross in the 87th.
Villa manager Sherwood has not won a league game since the opening day of the season against Bournemouth.
Leicester City 1, Crystal Palace 0
Jamie Vardy scored for a seventh consecutive Premier League game to give Leicester a 1-0 victory over Crystal Palace on Saturday.
Vardy made it nine goals in seven games for the Midlands club, pouncing on a wayward pass by defender Brede Hangeland and rounding the keeper to score in the 59th minute.
Palace striker Wilfried Zaha was yellow-carded in the closing stages for a dive after tangling with Christian Fuchs.
Scott Dann had Palace's best chance to equalize with a header.
The win keeps Leicester firmly in the hunt for a place in next season's Europa League, with Palace four points behind.
Stoke City 0, Watford 2
Troy Deeney and Almen Abdi scored as Watford halted Stoke's winning run with a 2-0 away victory Saturday in the Premier League.
Deeney put the visitors ahead in the 43rd minute, slotting in a low shot for his first Premier League goal and Abdi doubled the lead from distance in the 69th. Stoke had won its last three league games but couldn't find a reply in manager Mark Hughes' 100th game in charge.
Watford leapfrogged the hosts in the standings with the win. Newcomer Watford has 13 points from 10 games, with Stoke on 12.
Norwich City 0, West Bromwich Albion 1
Salomon Rondon's early second-half goal was enough for West Brom to defeat Norwich 1-0 and leave Carrow Road with all three points.
Norwich were looking to bounce back from a galling defeat at Newcastle last Sunday but could not make their early dominance pay as West Brom secured a narrow 1-0 victory. Canaries boss Alex Neil dropped both of his full-backs following the 6-2 hammering on Tyneside but Norwich could not breach a solid backline from the visitors.
With games against Manchester City, Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United to come in their next six Premier League fixtures, Norwich needed a result here but were toothless when it mattered - with West Brom's record signing Rondon heading home less than a minute into the second half.
