Minnesota Vikings kicker Blair Walsh is standing on shaky ground season.

Walsh missed a 38-yard field goal attempt during the first half of Minnesota's Week 4 outing versus the Denver Broncos. Including this year's preseason games, Walsh has now missed one "makeable" field goal in seven of his last nine games, according to Chris Tomasson of the Pioneer Press.

In addition to Walsh's miss versus the Broncos, he also missed a 44-yarder against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 1. He did not miss in either of the Vikings' wins this season. Walsh would later rebound against the Broncos, hitting a 38-yarder at the end of the first half.

After the missed attempt against the 49ers, Walsh admitted that his struggles were starting to get in his head. At the time, head coach Mike Zimmer said the Vikings weren't considering an alternative option at kicker. That's unlikely to change unless things get a lot worse, as Walsh was signed to a four-year, $14 million contract extension this summer.
