Sinclair heads to Villa on loan

Birmingham, England ( - Manchester City winger Scott Sinclair has moved to Aston Villa on loan for the remainder of the season, with Villa having the option to buy at the end of the campaign.

Sinclair enjoyed two standout seasons with Swansea City from 2010-12 as he netted 28 goals in 82 games to become one of the top young prospects in England.

However, Sinclair moved to City in 2012 and has struggled for playing time, making just 12 Premier League appearances for the Citizens.

The 25-year-old played in just eight games while on loan at West Bromwich in the first half of this season, but he is confident that Villa will be a good landing spot.

"It's nice to be able to get settled somewhere and be a part of something going forward," Sinclair said upon securing his move to Villa.

"I spoke to the manager, Paul Lambert, and he gave me his views on what he wants from me here at Villa. I am still hungry to play football, that's what I told him, and I'm looking forwarding to getting started, hopefully playing every week and enjoying my football.

"I believe I have my best years ahead of me. This is a new challenge, a new chapter in my life, and hopefully I can settle in as quickly as possible, have a good start and go from there."
