New Orleans, LA (SportsNetwork.com) - New Orleans Saints linebacker Junior Galette was arrested Monday morning on a misdemeanor charge of simple battery involving domestic violence, according to reports.

Galette allegedly pushed a woman to the ground while trying to get her to leave his home in Kenner, Louisiana, according to the Times-Picayune.

Terrance Banks, Galette's cousin, was also arrested on a simple battery charge.

The paper reported the woman had visible injuries when police arrived on the scene. She identified herself as an assistant of Galette's who had been staying with him for about two years.

Galette disputed such a relationship with the woman and described her as a dancer.

The woman said she requested cab fare, after which an argument ensued. She alleges Galette pushed her twice while trying to get her out of the house. After she fell, she said both men were on her and she couldn't breathe. Galette is accused of picking up the woman to take her out of the house.

The woman said she grabbed a knife to defend herself and that Galette began taping her with a cell phone. She discarded the knife and Banks picked her up and put her outside with all of her belongings, she said.

When police arrived, the woman was bleeding from her right ear and had scratches on the side of her face.

Galette, 26, started 13 games for the Saints this past season and registered a team-high 10 sacks.
