The Colorado Rockies activated first baseman Todd Helton and pitcher Jhoulys Chacin from the 15-day disabled list on Sunday.

Both Helton and Chacin, who were each placed on the DL retroactive to April 20, will start in Sunday's game against the Tampa Bay Rays.

Helton, 39, was suffering from inflammation in his left forearm. Prior to the injury, he was batting .268 with one home run and 10 RBI in 13 games.

Chacin, 25, had a 3-0 record with a 1.46 ERA and 16 strikeouts in four starts before going down with a lower back strain.

To make room for them on the 25-man roster, the Rockies have optioned infielder Ryan Wheeler and pitcher Tyler Chatwood to Triple-A Colorado Springs.

Wheeler, 24, was 1-for-9 with one double in six games this season.

Chatwood, 23, went 1-0 with a 3.00 ERA and eight strikeouts in two starts.
