With the NFL's trade deadline approaching at 4 p.m., it appears likely that Robert Griffin III will not find a new home until the 2016 offseason.

According to ESPN's Josina Anderson, the Redskins haven't received any trade offers from other teams for Griffin, and a clause in his contract is a big reason why.

If a team were to trade for Griffin, play him, and he were to get injured -- they would be on the hook for a fully guaranteed $16.2 million in 2016. Given Griffin's checkered injury history, this is a risk that no team seems willing to take.
