Golden State Warriors forward Harrison Barnes will not play in Thursday's preseason game against the Houston Rockets after suffering a bone bruise in a loss to the Denver Nuggets earlier this week, according to Inside Bay Area.

Barnes banged his knee with Nuggets rookie Emmanuel Mudiay at the 5:38 mark of the second quarter and did not return in Golden State's 114-103 preseason loss on Tuesday night at Oracle Arena.

Following the game, interim coach Luke Walton called Barnes "day-to-day."

Thursday's game marks the Rockets' first trip to Oracle Arena since the team lost to the Warriors in five games in the Western Conference Finals.

The Rockets will be without James Harden, Dwight Howard, Ty Lawson and Trevor Ariza, who did not travel with the team to Oakland because of rest and rehabilitation.
