Report: CB Houston staying with Lions

Cornerback Chris Houston has agreed to a five- year contract to stay with the Lions, the Detroit Free Press reported Wednesday.

Houston, 28, started all 14 games in which he played last season, his third with the Lions, and finished with 56 tackles, two interceptions and two forced fumbles.

Acquired in a trade with Atlanta three years ago, the Arkansas product has registered 332 tackles and 11 interceptions in 87 career games.

Houston was drafted by the Falcons in the second round of the 2007 NFL Draft.
