The Colorado Avalanche have signed goaltender Calvin Pickard to a one-year, two-way, $850,500 contract, according to BSN Denver.

Pickard, 23, looked really strong for the Avalanche, recording a .932 save percentage and a 2.35 goals against average in his first 16 NHL games of his career.

Barring any sort of injury or other matter, Pickard will start out the 2015-16 season with the Lake Erie Monsters in the AHL as the primary goaltender, behind Semyon Varlamov and Reto Berra on the Avalanche goaltender depth chart.

The Colorado Avalanche forward Freddie Hamilton and defenseman Stefan Elliott as their final two players under restricted free agent status.
