Josh Hamilton had an injury-plagued season in 2015 during his time with the Los Angeles Angels and Texas Rangers. A nagging knee issue led to surgery in September, and according to Evan Grant of the Dallas Morning News Hamilton has since gone through another operation on the knee in recent weeks.

Hamilton only appeared in 50 games for the Rangers after being dealt earlier in the season from the Angels, hitting .253/.291/.441 in 182 plate appearances over that span.

Grant mentioned that Hamilton had the new procedure two weeks ago and has already started rehab work...but he shouldn't be out too long:

Of course, relying on a completely healthy Hamilton at this stage of his career is probably not something the Rangers should be doing...and they probably aren't, as they try to figure out the most optimal roster for next season.
