The Detroit Pistons signed forward/center Josh Harrellson on Wednesday.

Harrellson played six games with the Miami Heat last season and also played in Puerto Rico and China.

The 6-foot-10, 275-pound Harrellson was originally selected 45th overall in the 2011 NBA Draft by the New Orleans Hornets and traded to the New York Knicks on draft night.

In 37 games with the Knicks in 2011-12, the Kentucky product averaged 4.4 points and 3.9 rebounds. He also saw action in four playoff games that season.
