The Buffalo Bills made a surprising move on Monday by releasing veteran running back Fred Jackson among a handful of other players. Jackson was a fan favorite for nearly a decade, but No. 22 won't be in the backfield in Buffalo anymore.

After Jackson was released, Bills safety Aaron Williams honored him in practice. Williams was spotted wearing Jackson's No. 22 jersey, although he didn't participate in team drills.

It's obvious that the departure of Jackson is a surprise and will hit his teammates hard. He was one of the longest tenured Bills next to Kyle Williams, and was surely close to his fellow teammates.

It's a cool gesture by Williams to honor his former teammate.
