Paul fined $15,000 by league for verbal abuse of official

NEW YORK (Reuters) - New Orleans Hornets guard Chris Paul has been fined $15,000 for verbal abuse of a game official, the NBA said on Friday.

The incident occurred during the Hornets' 103-101 overtime loss to the New Jersey Nets on Wednesday when the four-times All-Star shot just four-of-15 from the field and turned the ball over seven times.
