The New England Patriots might be getting a big boost for their Super Bowl XLIX rematch with the Seahawks.
The Pats activated running back Dion Lewis from the physically-unable-to-perform list Saturday just in time for Sunday's primetime showdown with Seattle. Lewis, who had been sidelined for a year and five days by a torn ACL, will be eligible to play, though it will be coach Bill Belichick's decision.
LeGarrette Blount and the Pats' other backs have picked up the slack this season, averaging 116.4 rushing yards per game (8th in the NFL) and rushing for 10 TDs. But they're excited to get back Lewis, who was enjoying a career year last season with 622 total yards and four TDs when he was hurt.
