Patrice Bergeron has a stellar reputation in Boston as a fantastic hockey player (he is a three-time Selke Trophy winner), great leader (he serves as an alternate captain for the Bruins), and an all-around good guy.

Bergeron might also be a miracle worker as proven in a recent photo. Like many hockey players, Bergeron participates in a few charity events over the summer, and he recently held a charity event in tandem with longtime NHLer Simon Gagne.

One of the players in attendance at the event was David Desharnais, who plays for the rival Montreal Canadiens. But Desharnais put team loyalties aside for charity (and for Bergeron) and donned a Boston Bruins jersey.

That choice was not a popular one in Montreal.

Never fear, Habs fans. The season will start soon enough and Desharnais will be back in the bleu, blanc et rouge.
