The Green Bay Packers have signed defensive tackle Eric Crume to their practice squad, the team announced on Wednesday.

Croom (6-1, 302 lbs.) went undrafted out of Syracuse and signed as a free agent with the Jacksonville Jaguars this spring. The Jaguars released him after training camp, and he did not sign with another team.

Croom was a four-year contributor and a pretty productive defender for the Orange from 2011-2014 (87 tackles, four sacks, two forced fumbles and two blocked kicks). The Packers released defensive tackle Justin Hamilton to make room for him on the roster.
