Packers re-sign punter Jacob Schum

The Green Bay Packers have re-signed punter Jacob Schum, the team announced Wednesday.

Schum was claimed off waivers by Green Bay on Aug. 30 after being released by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Schum went on to play every game for the Packers last season.

He averaged 43.2 yards per punt during the regular season and stuck 19 kicks inside the 20-yard line.

In the playoffs, Schum punted 11 times and pinned three inside the 20-yard line. His 47.6-yard gross average ranks as the best by a Packer in franchise postseason history.
