Ohio State announced Friday morning defensive lineman Adolphus Washington will not play in the Fiesta Bowl against Notre Dame after he was cited for solicitation earlier this week.
Washington, a senior from Cincinnati, has been a contributor in each of his four seasons in Columbus, including a full-year starter this season and last year when the Buckeyes won the national title.
He issued an apology Thursday after news of the alleged incident broke.
