New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - The National Hockey League issued a $5,000 fine to New York Islanders forward Frans Nielsen on Wednesday.
Nielsen was given a minor for slashing Phoenix Coyotes forward Martin Hanzal during the third period of a 6-1 home victory.
