New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Minnesota Lynx forward Maya Moore was named Western Conference Player of the Week for a fourth consecutive time Monday, the first time that's ever happened in the WNBA.
Moore won the award for a fifth time this season, and 10th time in her career after scoring 60 combined points in wins over Phoenix and Tulsa. Her 40 points against Tulsa on Saturday helped the Lynx push their winning streak to nine games.
New York Liberty center Tina Charles was named Eastern Conference Player of the Week after posting three straight double-doubles against Washington, Chicago and Atlanta.
