MLB, umpires union announce 5-year pact

New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Major League Baseball announced on Wednesday that it has reached a new five-year pact with its umpires union.

The World Umpires Association, which represents all major-league arbiters, worked with MLB to secure a deal which lasts through the 2019 campaign.
