MLB announces 2012 World Series umpires

New York, NY – Gerry Davis will serve as the crew chief for the 2012 World Series between the Detroit Tigers and San Francisco Giants.

Davis, a 29-year veteran, previously worked the Fall Classic in 1996, 1999 and 2004 before being appointed crew chief in 2009.

Joining Davis will be Brian Gorman, Joe West, Fieldin Culbreth, Dan Iassogna and Brian O'Nora.

This also marks the fifth World Series assignment for West (1992, 1997, 2005, 2009), the third for Gorman (2004, 2009), the second for Culbreth (2008) and the first both Iassogna and O'Nora.
