New York Mets ace Matt Harvey is expected to make his next start on Tuesday against the Washington Nationals despite not accompanying the team to Miami for a three-game series this weekend.

The Mets said Harvey was dealing with dehydration and weakness during his 6 1/3-inning stint against the Philadelphia Phillies on Wednesday night but it is not expected to impact his next outing. Harvey improved to 12-7 despite giving up four runs on nine hits.

Earlier Wednesday, the team announced that Harvey will skip another start down the stretch in an attempt to keep him under 180 innings for the regular season.

Harvey, who is 4-0 over his last seven starts, also had his turn in the rotation skipped late last month. He missed the entire 2014 season while recuperating from Tommy John surgery.
