After playing the first three games shorthanded in the secondary, the Titans' defensive backfield should benefit considerably with the expected return of starting cornerback Jason McCourty and backup Cody Riggs this Sunday against Buffalo.

McCourty missed Tennessee's first three games after having groin surgery in late August. Riggs played in the Titans' season-opening win against Tampa Bay, but missed the next two games with a knee injury.

A seven-year veteran, McCourty practiced fully on Wednesday in anticipation of making his season debut against the Bills.

"We shall see. It feels good in practice," McCourty said, per the Tennessean. "But as we all know, practice isn't like the game. I'm just trying to do as much as I can throughout the week."

McCourty's return wiil likely allow Coty Sensabaugh to return to his role as the team's nickel corner. Sensabaugh started the first three games in McCourty's absence.
