London, England (SportsNetwork.com) - Tottenham midfielder Ryan Mason has secured his future by signing a new five-and-a-half-year deal with Spurs.

The 23-year-old's new contract ties him to Tottenham until 2020, and it comes just one day after Mason started the team's League Cup semifinal first leg against Sheffield United.

Mason has had loan spells with Doncaster Rovers, Lorient and Swindon Town before establishing himself as a regular contributor in Tottenham's first team this season under manager Mauricio Pochettino.

Tottenham sits just three points out of a Champions League place with Mason having started 15 Premier League games for the club this term.
