MIAMI (AP) Doug Marrone has become the third former NFL head coach to interview for the Miami Dolphins' job.

The Dolphins on Friday also interviewed Dan Campbell, who led them to five wins in the final 12 games as interim coach. He is not expected to be retained, and Miami has now interviewed six candidates to replace him.

The Buffalo Bills went 15-17 with Marrone as coach in 2013-14, including 9-7 in his second year - one of their two winning seasons since 2000.

This season Marrone was assistant head coach and offensive line coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars, who reduced their sacks allowed to 51 from 71 the previous season.

Miami has also met with former NFL coaches Mike Shanahan and Mike Smith.
