EDMONTON, Alberta – Stacy Lewis and Inbee Park confirmed they will renew their rivalry for the top spot in the LPGA rankings at the CN Canadian Women's Open.
They'll tee it up on Aug. 22-25. The Royal Mayfair Club course has changed since the 2007 Canadian Women's Open was held in the capital. The players will contend with 93 sand traps, two man-made water hazards and greens — depending on pin placements — that require golfers to avoid overhanging tree limbs.
The American Lewis won the Ricoh Women's British Open on Aug. 4, and Park finished tied for 42nd on the Old Course at St. Andrews. But the South Korean retains a healthy overall lead, with a 12.77 world ranking average compared with 9.61 for the No. 2 Lewis.
The British Open also ended Park's bid to become the first golfer to win four majors in a row in the same year.
