Loretto, PA – Saint Francis University named Mercyhurst College assistant Eric Long as its new offensive coordinator on Thursday.
Long has spent the last five seasons at Mercyhurst, including the last four as offensive coordinator and receivers/tight end coach. In 2010, he also took on the role of recruiting coordinator.
The 2004 graduate of St. John Fisher College will lead an offense that ranked third in total offense and fourth in scoring offense in the Northeast Conference last season.
The Red Flash finished 2-9 under head coach Chris Villarrial. They will kick off the 2012 season on Sept. 1 at James Madison.
