Auckland, New Zealand (SportsNetwork.com) - Seventh-seeded Sabine Lisicki defeated Magdalena Rybarik in straight sets Sunday in the first round of the Brisbane International.
Lisicki fired seven aces and beat Rybarikova 6-3, 6-4 at ASB Tennis Arena.
In other first-round action, Stefanie Voegele downed Madison Keys, 6-4, 6-3, Andrea Petkovic took out Bethanie Mattek-Sands, 6-4, 7-5, Kimiko Date-Krumm dispatched Olivia Rogowska, 6-3, 7-5 and Elina Svitolina defeated Varvara Lepchenko, 6-3, 6-3
