The Jim Bob Cooter effect was immediate for the Detroit Lions on Sunday.

After taking over for recently fired Jim Bob Cooter as Lions' offensive coordinator, Cooter brought a revamped offense to London on Sunday for Detroit's Week 8 clash with the Kansas City Chiefs. On the second play of the game, running back Joique Bell ripped off the team's longest run of the season (32 yards).

The Lions have been the NFL's worst team on the ground this season. Heading into Week 8, they were only averaging 3.5 yards per carry and 68 yards per game as a team. The result was a totally stagnant offense.

Detroit's first drive with Cooter calling the plays was a success, overall, as the team finally busted a big run and took an early lead over the Chiefs.
