New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Rock singer-songwriter Lenny Kravitz will join pop superstar Katy Perry to perform at halftime of Super Bowl XLIX at University of Phoenix Stadium in Arizona on Feb. 1.
The 50-year-old Kravitz captured four straight Grammy Awards from 1999 to 2002 for Best Male Rock Vocal Performance. He recently announced the second leg of his world tour for his latest studio release of Strut, which Rolling Stone Magazine named one of the top albums of 2014.
The most-watched musical event of the year, the Super Bowl halftime show was most recently headlined by Bruno Mars. Past performances have included Beyonce, Madonna, The Who, Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Prince, the Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney and U2.
