BERLIN (AP) Japan midfielder Shinji Kagawa scored Sunday as Borussia Dortmund defeated Ingolstadt and claimed its second successive 4-0 win in the Bundesliga.
After dominating the first half and squandering a host of chances, Dortmund finally made the breakthrough through Matthias Ginter in the 55th minute.
Marco Reus made it 2-0 with a penalty five minutes later after Moritz Hartmann had fouled Marcel Schmelzer.
Kagawa scored in the 84th after fine work from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang on the right. Aubameyang eluded two Ingolstadt defenders, passed the ball to Jonas Hofmann, who saw Kagawa and let the Japan star do the rest, creating space before finishing with aplomb.
Ginter crossed for Aubameyang to complete the scoring in injury time.
Dortmund defeated Borussia Moenchengladbach, which was hosting Mainz later, 4-0 in its opening game.
