Updated

The 90-player Maxwell Award watchlist for the upcoming college football season includes two Trojans and one Bruin this year.

UCLA's Josh Rosen joins USC's JuJu Smith-Schuster and Ronald Jones II as players to keep an eye on in 2016. The Maxwell Award is presented to the nation's best college football player each year.

Of the 90 players on the list, all 90 play on the offensive side of the ball. Running backs top the list with 39 players listed. Quarterbacks are close behind with 33 players on the list. Sixteen wide receivers and two tight ends round out the position breakdown.

The Maxwell Award winner is announced on Dec. 8. The full watch list is below:
