Sanchez sat out New York's 26-3 victory at Tampa Bay last Sunday with a sprained right knee.

"He slid right in front of me during practice to make sure I knew he was ready to go," Ryan told reporters on Friday.

"He feels confident. He threw the ball really well today. He's ready to go."

Backup Kellen Clemens completed 12 of 23 passes for 111 yards and had no turnovers last week against the Buccaneers.

But Ryan said Sanchez, the fifth overall pick in the 2009 draft, was ready to return and help the Jets (7-6) try to secure a playoff spot.

Sanchez said the knee "feels good. There is no swelling."
